Neymar 'Welcome at Real Madrid,' Says Brazil Team-Mate Casemiro

It is claimed that the forward has been left 'completely unmotivated' playing for Paris Saint-Germain outside the Champions League and Casemiro told COPE that Neymar would be welcomed with open arms at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Cristiano Ronaldo followed in 2009 when the Ballon d'Or winner, arguably the greatest player to play in England was snapped up by Real Madrid for a world record transfer fee that shocked the whole football world.

But rumours have since emerged that he is unhappy in Paris.

At which point emotion appeared to overcome Neymar, who was sitting beside Tite at that moment, facing cameras in the press conference after Brazil's 3-1 win over Japan in Lille.

However, the deals did no go through as Liverpool refused to let their star man leave the Anfield despite three hefty bids from the Catalan giants and Real Madrid also cooled off their interest in Hazard.

Kylian Mbappe, the PSG teenager preparing to carry the tag of the world's second most expensive footballer when his loan from Monaco becomes permanent next year, offered this: "Neymar is human, like all of us".

"We know that in a World Cup, everyone wants to beat Brazil", he said. The Brazilian is affectionate, close and sentimental for what has been and gone.

Furthermore there is a suggestion of dressing room discord concerning privileges given to Neymar following his stunning €222 million move from Barcelona last summer.

And while midfielder Casemiro would love it if the former Barcelona joined the European champions, he insists his compatriot is enjoying his time in France.

Barcelona would surely not be able to bring him back after spending £98m of the money they received on Ousmane Dembele - and will splash out again in January. Nor, on the evidence of PSG's waltz to the top of the table so far, will anybody else.
